About Me

Hi there! I’m an experienced maths tutor dedicated to helping students in Bedford and beyond unlock their full mathematical potential.

As a dedicated maths tutor based in Bedford, I bring over 15 years of experience tutoring and teaching mathematics at a well-regarded school in Bedfordshire. My expertise spans a wide range of levels, including A-Level and GCSE Maths (both Higher and Foundation tiers). I also specialise in preparing students for selective school admissions.

For those outside the Bedford area or those who prefer flexibility, I offer effective online tutoring via Google Meet. This ensures high-quality, one-to-one support, regardless of your location.

I am a graduate of St. Andrews University and have been teaching and tutoring mathematics in Bedford since 2010. My qualifications include a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Secondary Mathematics and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You can also be assured that I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate.

My tutoring approach is calm, structured, and patient, designed to build confidence in challenging topics. I actively encourage students and provide ample opportunities to practice new skills, offering constructive feedback along the way. As a recently retired teacher, I have up-to-date knowledge of exam specifications, common pitfalls, and effective examination techniques to help students maximise their marks.
